REFUND & RETURNS POLICY

I want you to be happy with your DS Creabags purchase. Every handbag is individually handmade, so I encourage you to read the product description, dimensions, materials and care information carefully before ordering.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any mandatory consumer rights provided by Luxembourg or European Union law.

1. 14-DAY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

If you purchase a standard, non-personalised product online, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days without giving a reason.

For goods, the withdrawal period generally begins on the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, physically receives the product.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must clearly inform me of your decision before the 14-day period expires.

You may use the statutory withdrawal form where applicable, but a clear statement informing me that you wish to withdraw is also sufficient.

2. RETURNING YOUR PRODUCT

After informing me of your withdrawal, you must return the product without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying me of your decision to withdraw.

Please contact me before sending the product so that I can provide the appropriate return instructions and return address.

Unless otherwise agreed or required by law, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the product when exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.

I recommend using a tracked or traceable delivery service and keeping proof of postage.

3. CONDITION OF RETURNS

The right of withdrawal allows you to inspect a product in a similar way to how you would reasonably inspect it in a physical shop.

A returned handbag should therefore be returned with reasonable care and, where possible, with its original packaging and accessories.

The product should not have been used beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

You may be responsible for any reduction in the value of the product resulting from handling or use beyond what is necessary for this purpose.

4. REFUNDS

Following a valid statutory withdrawal, I will reimburse payments received from you in accordance with applicable law.

This includes the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for your order. If you selected a more expensive delivery option, such as express delivery, the additional delivery cost does not have to be reimbursed.

The refund will be made without undue delay and no later than the applicable statutory deadline.

For returned goods, I may withhold reimbursement until I have received the product or you have provided evidence that you have sent it back, whichever occurs first.

Unless otherwise agreed, the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

5. PERSONALISED & CUSTOM-MADE PRODUCTS

Certain DS Creabags handbags may be created specifically according to individual specifications agreed with you.

Under applicable consumer law, the normal 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply where goods are genuinely made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.

Where this legal exception applies, a personalised or custom-made product cannot normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind.

For personalised and custom orders, a 50% deposit is required to confirm the order and begin production. The remaining 50% is payable when the product is completed and before dispatch.

Where the personalised-goods exception applies and production has begun, the 50% deposit is non-refundable if you subsequently cancel, except where otherwise required by law or expressly agreed by DS Creabags.

If you need to request a change or cancellation, please contact me as soon as possible at info@dscreabags.com. I will consider whether the request can reasonably be accommodated depending on the stage of production.

Personalisation does not affect your statutory rights if the product is defective or does not conform to the agreed specifications.

6. PRE-ORDERS

Purchasing a standard, non-personalised product as a pre-order does not in itself remove your statutory right of withdrawal.

Where the right of withdrawal applies, it may be exercised in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Where a pre-order is also genuinely personalised or made according to individually agreed specifications, the rules concerning personalised and custom-made products may apply.

7. DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

If your product arrives damaged, is defective, does not correspond to your order or otherwise does not conform to the sales contract, please contact me at:

Please provide your order number, a description of the problem and photographs where reasonably helpful.

Please do not return a defective or incorrect product before contacting me unless otherwise agreed.

Your rights concerning a genuinely defective or non-conforming product are separate from the 14-day change-of-mind right of withdrawal.

Available remedies will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

8. LEGAL GUARANTEE OF CONFORMITY

DS Creabags products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity provided by Luxembourg and applicable European Union consumer law.

For consumer goods, the applicable legal guarantee period is generally 2 years from delivery.

This legal guarantee concerns a lack of conformity that existed when the product was delivered. It does not mean that a handbag, its crochet, lining, straps, chains or hardware are guaranteed to remain in new or unchanged condition for two years.

Handbags are fashion accessories and naturally show signs of use and ageing over time.

Normal wear and tear is distinguished from a manufacturing defect or lack of conformity.

Damage or deterioration caused by accidents, inappropriate use, excessive loading, pulling, stretching, snagging, friction, inappropriate cleaning or storage, prolonged exposure to moisture or unsuitable conditions, or failure to follow reasonable care instructions is not considered a manufacturing defect merely because it occurs during the legal guarantee period.

Each case will be assessed according to the nature of the issue, the condition and age of the product, its reasonable expected use and applicable consumer law.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your mandatory statutory rights.

9. HANDMADE CHARACTERISTICS

Every DS Creabags handbag is individually handmade.

Because crochet is created stitch by stitch by hand, slight variations in texture, dimensions, tension, positioning, shape, colour appearance or finishing may naturally occur between individual pieces.

These small variations are part of the individual character of handmade craftsmanship and do not in themselves constitute a defect, provided that the product conforms to its description, agreed specifications and applicable law.

10. NORMAL WEAR & AGEING OF MATERIALS

The materials used in handbags naturally evolve through use and over time.

Depending on the material, frequency of use and conditions of use, normal signs of ageing may include softening of materials, slight changes in the crochet structure, minor surface wear, friction marks and gradual changes in the appearance of hardware.

Metal and gold-tone hardware may gradually lose some shine, develop a patina or change in tone through normal use and over time.

The speed at which this occurs may vary depending on frequency of use and exposure to friction, moisture, perspiration, perfume, cosmetics, creams, cleaning products and environmental conditions.

These natural changes associated with reasonable use and ageing do not in themselves constitute a manufacturing defect.

11. CARE OF YOUR DS CREABAGS HANDBAG

DS Creabags handbags are handmade fashion accessories and should be treated with appropriate care.

To help preserve your handbag:

• avoid overloading it or carrying items that are excessively heavy for its size;

• avoid excessive pulling or stretching of the crochet, straps, chains, closures and hardware;

• protect the crochet from snagging on sharp or rough surfaces;

• avoid prolonged exposure to water and moisture;

• keep metal hardware away from perfume, cosmetics, creams and chemical cleaning products;

• avoid excessive friction on metal and gold-tone finishes;

• do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners on the hardware;

• wipe hardware gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth when necessary;

• clean the handbag only according to the care instructions provided;

• allow it to dry naturally away from direct heat; and

• store it carefully in a dry environment without crushing or folding it for prolonged periods.

The appearance of metal finishes can naturally evolve over time even when the product is cared for appropriately.

12. EXCHANGES

Because DS Creabags handbags are individually handmade and availability may be limited, I cannot guarantee that a particular model or colour will be available for a direct exchange.
